Emily is a Dartmouth College and UConn graduate who has coached children on the field and in the classroom since 2003. She was named "Tutor of The Year" by Ivy Bound Test Prep, and has achieved high accolades for her work in Glastonbury, CT schools.
Emily is an energetic mother of three who teaches multiple courses for Aspire Academy.
Jennie is a Boston College grad, class of 2012. She is an International Studies and Russian double major who now works in the financial industry (passed the CFA Levels 1 and 2). She has tutored children since college, and her students range in age from 11 to 18. She is an especially dynamic tutor for Russian language, English, practical math, and SAT preparation.
Teaching and politics have been Joe's two main occupations. He has taught English and Government at the University of Saint Joseph, Capital Community College, and Lincoln College of New England. He also served 10 years in the Connecticut State Senate and was the Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 2018. Joe has been employed as a campaign manager and a grassroots organizer, as executive director of state and federal trade associations; and as editor and publisher of a weekly newspaper.
Mark is a lawyer-turned-teacher. He co-founded Aspire Academy and teaches many of its Connecticut classes, including Astronomy, Practical Math (Math Mayhem), Anatomy, Speedy Reading, and Study Skills. Mark is the founder of Ivy Bound Test Prep and remains its Academic Director and Parent Counselor for College Admissions Success.
Sharisse Kanet is a 2006 Wesleyan University graduate who majored in Philosophy and Math. Sharisse has been employed as a tutor since her early teens. She is a PhD Candidate at CUNY. She is a high school valedictorian (in three years) and absorbs education at every turn. Well, almost - she is a prolific martial arts too. She has taught Test Prep since 2006, and is Ivy Bound's most prolific classroom teacher for SAT Prep, with over 500 graduates under her belt.
She teaches multiple courses for Aspire Academy including Anatomy, Latin, Health & Nutrition, Speed Reading, and Study Skills.
